Welcome! If you are here then you are one of five people:
- An Author of UHPS and you're looking to registar your Fic's Status
- A Member of UHPS and you're looking for the Status of a Fic
- A "Someone" who likes Harry Potter Slash and are looking for stories
- A Person who knows what Slash is and you're thinking about joining the Group
- A Person who doesn't know what Slash is and you're looking to find out
- An idiot who clicked on a link and now you're looking around dumbly
If you are the idiot, then you will find the "The Isle of Atlantis" link at the bottom of the nav on the left. That is your ticket out of this room. If you are the person who does not know what Slash is then I would suggest that you read my description of it in The Library of Atlantis. After you do that and decide that you like Slash, come back here.
If you are the member, then you will find the link for the Fics on the left. Click it and browse away. Dont forget to drop the Author a Review if you read his/her stuff.
Authors should click on the "Update Your Fic Status" link, even if this is your first time regestaring your Fic Status here. If you are coming back then that is the link you need as well. All you need to know will be behind that door.
Now, for the last type. Your here to check out UHPS, then? Well, lets see.... You can find the Group Stats and Settings on the right there, and you may join with the small form below that. But before you get hasty and just join there are somethings that you may want to read first. There are two purply-pink links on the left. READ THOSE!! They are important and there are things in them that you need know.
UHPS is a mailing list group, hosted by Yahoo! (Y!) Groups. Its sole reason for its exsistence is to provide the HP Slashdom with a place to read and write and relax while reading or writing HP Slash. Unlike some other groups, UHPS does not focus on any particular Ship within the HP Fandom. All are open for slashing season here. And we do not limit on gender either. Male/Male and Female/Female are always welcome. I am not knocking those other groups. They have their reasons for being mostly one ship or one or two authors. I just dont think that that is what I want for UHPS. I want people to come together and share what they have, no restrictions. Please see the "Noteworty" section on the left on the next page.
UHPS even accepts Gen (General Fiction). So throw out what you have and we will gobble it up for you and then spit out a Review.
The only kind of Fic that is highly discouraged here is Het (Heterosexual). This is a SLASH list and I am sure that that is what you are here for. If you have Het there are groups out there for that. This is not one of them.
Now that all that stuff is out of the way, I suggest you read the "Important Group Information" and "Uploading a File to the Group". The information in those files is vital to a smoothly running group, with as little Moderator interference as possible.
